What an EPIC Day of Service!
On Saturday, our Rotary Club of Port Hope joined forces with fellow Rotary & Lions clubs and local cadets for a fantastic day at the Laurie Lawson Property, care of Northumberland Land Trust on Telephone Road.
Together, we planted variety of seedlings to help replenish losses and support the growth of this beautiful natural space.
It was the perfect mix of teamwork, learning, fresh air, and a lot of laughs along the way!
Days like this remind us how powerful it is when community comes together to make a real impact. Thanks to all involved today and to the organizers and helpful guides from the Northumberland Land Trust group. It was wonderful spending a few hours together to plant some trees to help re-establish some forest area that’s been weakened by the ash borer. Even the crazy weather (did the forecast call for hail?!?) and nasty ticks couldn’t dampen our spirits!
